WalletHub has released a list of cities that need the most initial COVID-19 vaccinations after they are approved.
The company says they compared 93 different cities. To decide who needed the most vaccines they used 13 different criteria including the share of health care workers, front-line industry workers, and population aged 65 and over.
Bakersfield was ranked number 55 on the list right in between New York City and Irving Texas. Bakersfield was also listed as having the lowest shares of health care workers.
