All lanes of Interstate 5 have been shut down in both directions due a tanker fire.

The California Highway Patrol says the tanker truck was loaded with 40,000 pounds of nitric acid. No injuries have been reported.

CHP expects all lanes to be shut down for several hours.

CHP says northbound traffic is going to be re-routed on Highway 99. Motorists will have to exit on Highway 223 and go over to Interstate 5 from there.

Southbound traffic will exit on Highway 166, over to Highway 99 to jump onto Interstate 5 from there.
