Man killed in east Bakersfield shooting identified by family

UPDATE (6:30 a.m.): Family members have confirmed to 23ABC that the man who was shot and killed in a shooting in east Bakersfield Friday morning has been identified as Albert Laushaul.

Around 1:30 a.m., Laushaul was found suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds at the Gateway Inn on Union Avenue near E. 10th Street, according to police. He died at the scene.

Witnesses described the two suspects as two black men seen fleeing southbound on Union Avenue, according to Bakersfield Police.

UPDATE: BPD confirms that one man is dead following a shooting in the 900 block of Union Avenue, near E. 10th Street in east Bakersfield. 

BPD says they are still looking for the two shooting suspects.

The Bakersfield Police Department is on scene of a shooting in east Bakersfield. 

It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Union Avenue. 

BPD says the injuries appear to be moderate to major.
