BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It’s the second week of Black History month and the Bakersfield community is continuing to find new ways to celebrate. 23ABC will continue to highlight and feature African American voices throughout February.
Saturday, two organizations came together to celebrate at an event bringing awareness to African American history, in a neighborhood they say is often forgotten.
23ABC’s Lezla Gooden spoke with them and has the latest.
