BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Protests continue in India.

Unrest continues throughout India, with protests occurring daily in support of the farmers of India.
This is due to many farmers and activists disturbed with new laws aiming to modernize Indian agriculture. Farmers say the laws would devastate their industry.

On Saturday, in S.W. Bakersfield, a demonstration, with an estimate of 1,000 in attendance was held in support of farmers of India.

Organizers say they will continue to protest until they see change.

23ABC's Lezla Gooden attended the demonstrations and explains how those laws can impact Kern County.
