BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Jingle bells, the sound of reindeer up on the rooftop, and the smell of cookies can only mean one thing: Santa!
This morning Santa and Mrs. Claus joined us from the North Pole to tell us more about the preparation and how his list is coming along.
An in-person 2020 Annual Christmas Parade was canceled due to COVID-19, but organizers shifted to a virtual, video parade format to be sponsored by 23ABC. Greg Cronk, President of the all-volunteer Bakersfield Christmas Parade Committee, said the committee recognized a need to keep spectators, participants, and all those involved with producing the parade safe from the COVID-19 virus.
The 2020 parade will be presented on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on 23ABC, Facebook, and its streaming platforms.
