The city of Shafter will be bringing back the Shafter Colours Art Festival this week. Colours is a celebration of the arts held each February in Shafter. Radon Fortenberry talks about the festival.
It's a multi-day event featuring "transformed art" in various forms ranging from canvas, sculpture, film and stage to wine, food, music and more.
Festivities will kick off Thursday at 4 p.m. with dinner and a silent movie. Organizers say 50% of the event's proceeds will go to scholarships and grants.
