Between the cold weather and rainfall, drivers are bound to meet harsh conditions when traveling. AAA is offering some tips to help motorists stay safe when getting where they need to go.
- Prepare your car: Doug Shupe with AAA said your tires are the most crucial part of maintaining traction on wet pavement. Make sure to check and your tire pressure before hitting the road. Other parts to check include your headlights, windshield wipers, and brakes.
- Keep up with your regular maintenance, especially during these colder months.
- Educate yourself or ask a professional to place chains on your tires when needed.
- Don't slam on the breaks if you start to skid, steer.
