BAKERSFIELD, CA. — NV Catering has been in business for over 10 years in Bakersfield. The owner said they had 80-100 events planned for 2020 that were canceled or put on pause.

“Not only are we caterers, but we run a daily operation for pickup. We also have staff at St. John's School. I had to lay everyone off there and half my kitchen staff got laid off as well," said Nathan Vazquez, NV Catering owner.

The catering company turned to bulk family meals and farmers' meals for income. But now, as things begin to open up, the calls to reschedule are flooding in.

“I think we're going to hit hard with everything coming into place so I want us to be prepared with staff as well," said Vazquez.

The company is now looking to hire servers and cooks for their rescheduled events.

“Very passionate, clean, conscious, diverse, multi-task and be able to cook for large amounts," said Vazquez.
