Over 200 thousand jobs added to market in September

Posted

(KERO) — The fever hasn't broken yet, for the U.S job market.

According to the federal government, the economy added 263k jobs in September. That's slightly higher than the 250k economists had estimated.

However, the robust headline number marks the second month in a row of falling totals, pointing to a labor market slowdown.

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate fell back to 3.5% from 3.7%.
