BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Justin Salinas, owner of Cake It With Justin, stopped by 23ABC to talk more about his business and make a special announcement.
Salinas says his business started a little over a year ago with just 6 students and now he teaches up to 4 classes a month with upwards of 70 students in each class.
At the class, there is everything you need to make your sugary creations down to the exact amount and color of icing for each project, without the hassle of cleaning up!
He holds classes at 1933, about three to four times a month. They always fall on a Monday.
Justin made a special announcement during our live morning show. He is going to be featured on Food Network next month, for the Christmas Cookie Challenge.
Food Network describes the show as "Flour clouds the air as a festive-yet-furious battle between bakers ensues to determine the best cookie baker in the country. Five bakers' holiday treats are judged in three rounds of competition to determine which delectable treat will be the one that allows the baker to take home the prize for best treat. Each round of the competition focuses on a different theme, examples could be Christmas past and future, 3D art and ornaments. Judged on taste and creativity only one baker can take home the $10,000 prize."
The special will air on November 18 at 10 p.m. and then again Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m.
You can buy tickets to his classes on his website.
