BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It is the first week of December which means it is finally acceptable to bring you holiday-themed Foodie Fridays! To kick off the festivities, the founder of Buttercream Cookie Co., RandiSue Luchua, showed us how she decorates her incredible cookies.

“Cookie kits have been a huge thing for my business. Getting together and having fun, and having something delicious at the end, to build those great memories during Christmas time has been super important, especially now," said Luchua.

Luchua's cookie kit comes with different shaped cookies like a star, a stocking and a Christmas tree. When you begin frosting your cookies, she said it's like coloring books.

"A lot of people outlined first and then you color in the center and that’s what I think about every time. So I outline it and I go back and forth like I’m coloring it in," said Luchua.

She also showed us a trick with sprinkles.

"I will just outline the star and then I will place my star right over and kind of press and turn the star and it makes a nice little border for your star. And you just color it in so back and forth. [If] you want to add a little more to it, you can even write the word joy," said Luchua.

She also showed us ways to spruce up your Christmas tree cookie, and reminded us to enjoy the little moments.

"I will add little dots for lights on my tree. And take lots of pictures because that’s really important. I think so much during Christmas, we’re go, go, go and it’s nice to take a snapshot of what you’re doing and making memories with," said Luchua.
