BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Feeling a bit lonely? Well, thanks to a website called RentAFriend.com you'll probably never have to hang out with yourself again.
Although there are no promises, the site boasts itself as a place that "allows you to rent local Friends from all over the world."
But ... making friends on this site isn't free... hence the word "rent".
RentAFriend says "Most of the Friends on RentAFriend.com start at just $10 an hour, but almost all of them are willing to negotiate or even waive their fees depending on the activity you are planning with them."
"You can rent a local Friend to hang out with, go to a movie or restaurant with, or someone to go with you to a party or event," the website adds.
The service is also available in Bakersfield, so ... what are you waiting for?
According to the site's about page, "No matter where you live, all you have to do is enter the location you wish to search on the Friend search page. Once you choose the location of where you are looking to find a new Friend, you will instantly see available Friends that are located in that area."
