BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center is holding its Home Run for Life fundraiser event this Saturday, October 19th.
"For over 33 years, the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center has partnered with Kern County churches, community agencies, health care providers and individuals to meet the needs of people facing pregnancy-related concerns."
"Each participant is encouraged to join a team or form their own team of at least 9 players. Each participant is asked to seek “sponsors” for their team or for individuals including themselves." For every $100 raised, each team earns one HOME RUN!"
During the event, "each team will play 2 innings of a slow-pitch softball. The team with the most runs, either earned by fundraising or by scoring a run during their two-inning game, will be the “Home Run for Life” Champions!"
The games will be followed by a Fiesta Dinner open to the public! Cost is $10 per person and tickets are available online or at the BPC office at 1801 18th Street.
The event takes place at Valley Baptist Church, Olive Drive Campus with sign ups at 2:30 pm. Games begin at 3 PM.
