Graduation rates at California State University's across the state have reached an all-time high.
The chancellor of the nation's largest system of four-year higher education, Timothy White, credits the gains to the Graduation Initiative 2025. It's a university-wide plan to increase graduation rates while eliminating equity gaps in completion, focusing on six areas, including academic preparation, enrollment management, and student engagement, just to name a few.
CSU says the 4-year graduation rate for first-time students increased from 19 percent in 2015 to 27 percent this year. And for transfer students, a ten percent increase from 2015 until now.
