BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Students of Garces Memorial High School are returning to campus Wednesday as the school resumes in-person learning.

School officials said the first four days back, students will be staggard in the classes to allow officials to best explain all the new changes and help students get used to the new layout of the campus and new protocol.

On Wednesday, seniors will return to school. Then freshmen on Thursday, sophomores on Friday and juniors on Monday.

All students will have their temperature checked before each class period. Every desk will be sanitized at the end of each period. Students, staff and anyone else on campus will be required to wear a mask at all times.

During break and lunchtime, social distancing will be strictly enforced. At the end of each day, the entire campus will be sanitized, and sanitation stations will be restocked.

Distance learning option will still be available for students who do not wish to return to campus.
