BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Fairfax School District returned to on-campus instruction Wednesday, opting to use an a.m./p.m. hybrid method.
According to Superintendent Michael Coleman, the district will reopen all schools for on-campus learning starting Wednesday. The district operates 3 Kindergarten through 6th Grade elementary schools and 1 junior high. Fairfax serves approximately 2,723 K-8 students.
At the September 21 Board meeting, the Fairfax School District Board approved a revision to the district reopening plan that reopens schools. With Kern now in the red tier, schools throughout the county are now able to resume in-person instruction with modifications.
