Daily Blend: The Padre Hotel

Posted
and last updated

The Padre Hotel in downtown Bakersfield is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. They just celebrated their 10 year anniversary. It was originally built and opened in 1928 and is one of the oldest buildings in Bakersfield. It was last renovated and re-opened in 2010.

The look of the hotel is "Cowboy-chic," which General Manager Jennifer Johnson describes as a "throwback to the wild west of Kern County and Bakersfield. There is a lot of attention to detail and as you walk through the hotel you will see a lot of those details in our wallpaper, custom furniture from the lobby all the way up to the eight floor."
