BAKERSFIELD, Calif — Get those resumes ready and dress to impress for Bakersfield College's Holiday Hiring Recruitment.

Tuesday and Wednesday Bakersfield College will host five major companies in Kern County for a two-day hiring event. The events are on Bakersfield College's campus between the Memorial Stadium and the gymnasium in the Huddle.

Companies expected to be hiring include Target, Nike, Levi, Vallitex and Panda Express. Organizers said they're anticipating more than 100 jobs being available to students and community members. Those companies also plan to host interviews on the spot and can even hire applicants during the hiring recruitment.

Bakersfield College Student Ambassador, Rosa Perez, said, while the event is geared towards Bakersfield College students, anyone in the community is welcome to attend. And they encourage their students to get part-time, seasonal or flexible-hours jobs so they students can build their resume, prove they have soft skills needed for future career employment and to have extra money during the holiday season.

Perez said students should bring multiple copies of their resumes with them, dress to impress and arrive early so they can find parking. Free parking is available in the South Parking Lot.
