BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — CVS announced they are working on a process to begin facilitating local testing for the coronavirus.

According to a press release, “While details are still being worked out based on the number of tests available and geographic needs, it’s important for CVS Pharmacy customers to understand that they won’t be impacted. We expect testing will take place in secure areas of parking lots at select stores – not inside – and individuals being tested will not have to leave their cars.”

According to the CVS website, the company is working closely with local health departments.

However, they stated that MinuteClinic locations are not able to test for COVID-19 at this time.

During a news conference today, Vice President Mike Pence, stated a full list of stores who are conducting testing will be released Sunday at 2 p.m..
