BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Cal State Bakersfield is welcoming new and returning students for the Fall 2019 semester by hosting several events throughout the week.
Students return to class on Monday, August 26. CSUB will kick-off their 'Week of Welcome' by offering free doughnuts and coffee in The Student Union Lobby from 9 to 11 a.m. For a list of all the events happening for the 'Week of Welcome', see below.
Monday, August 26th
Motivational Mondays
9 to 11 a.m. | Student Union Lobby
Start the week off energized and fed! The Student Union will be offering free coffee and donuts for all students. Stop by before they run out!
Pop-Up Produce Pantry
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Food Pantry
Need some food to get you through the week? Stop by the Produce Pantry and pick up some fresh produce from local farms in Bakersfield.
Week of Welcome Kick-Off
Noon to 1 p.m. | Student Union Patio
CSUB is excited to welcome new and returning students. Come stop by the Student Union Patio and kick-off the new semester with some events and free food.
REC FEST
5 to 7 p.m. | Student Recreation Center
Come learn about the SRC and its resources! All you need is your Student ID!
Tuesday, August 27th
Taco Tuesday
11:30 a.m. | Student Union Patio
Celebrate Taco Tuesday with your student representatives! They will be handing out free tacos and asking questions that you may have.
Transfer T-shirt Swap
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Student Union Patio
Donate your previous school t-shirt and receive a new CSUB t-shirt and show your 'Runner Pride!
Transfer Social
5 to 7 p.m. | Student Union MPR
Transfer students stop by and connect with other students, staff, and faculty. Have your questions answered, enjoy refreshments, and prize giveaway.
