BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Boys and Girls Club of Kern County is preparing to host their annual State of the Clubs breakfast to update the community on the Kern County clubs and the organization's priorities. The breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Armstrong Youth Center.
Club officials will discuss the club's three main priorities: safe programs for all; expansion of program services; and the need for unrestricted resources. There will also be a tour of the Armstrong Youth Center after the presentations.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County have three clubs and 59 school sites. Overall, 7,500 kids daily are involved with the club throughout the school year.
