The city of Tehachapi is gearing up to hold a blood and platelet drive this week.
The drive is happening Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on 490West D Street in Tehachapi. This drive is a partnership between the city and Houchin Blood Bank.
In order to donate, you must be 16-years-old or have a signed parental consent form. You also must weigh at least 100 lbs and be free from cold, flu and all signs of infection.
Eat a meal at least 3 hours prior to donating and drink plenty of water.
Be sure to bring a picture ID.
