The Tehachapi Police Department announced that they will be participating in the annual Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser on Thursday, September 12 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event is meant to bring attention to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The event will take place at the Dunkin' Donuts at 540 Tucker Road in Tehachapi.
According to a statement released by the department, "Local Special Olympic athletes are encouraged to attend and enjoy the morning with local law enforcement officers. We would love to see the community and join us for a great cause."
Donors will receive a free coffee coupon with any donation.
