BAKERSFIELD — Sun Power and Bakersfield College are teaming up to host the 4th Annual Kern Solar Energy Academy for local high school students.
The summer academy is a 5-day, project-based learning experience. Teams will function as a solar company to design a residential solar system over the course of 5 days.
Afterwards, they will present their project to a panel of judges. Not only will students be getting hands-on experience, but they will also get to meet professionals and experts in the solar industry this week.
The Kern Solar Academy kicks off Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. and runs until Friday.
