BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The month of November marks National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, and the Kern County Homeless Youth Committee is looking to share the warmth.
This is the second year that the committee has hosted this sleeping bag drive, and 120 sleeping bags were collected during last years drive.
The goal of this year's drive is to receive at least 200 sleeping bags for homeless youth in Kern County.
Donations are accepted until December 13th at any of the following locations:
- Kaiser Permanente Farmers' Markets
3700 Mall View Road
- Haggin Oaks Farmers Market
8800 Ming Ave
- Kern Bridges Youth Homes
1321 Stine Road, Building A
- Office of State Senator Shannon Grove
5701 Truxtun Ave Suite 150
