BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Applications are due by Oct. 2 for the KCHCC's annual scholarship program, designed to introduce local students to careers and business opportunities in the energy and agriculture industries is now seeking applicants.
Chevron and KCHCC are seeking eligible high school students (juniors and seniors) and students enrolled at Bakersfield College, Taft College, CSU Bakersfield, and CSU Fresno.
This academy introduces students to local professionals, career opportunities, and a wide array of features these industries have to offer in the Central Valley and beyond.
This year's virtual Energy and Agriculture academy has been made possible through a collaborative partnership with the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Education Foundation, Bakersfield College, Chevron, Kern Energy Foundation and industry partners - California Resources Corporation, and Aera Energy, LLC.
Applications are open to students in high school or college.
A completed application and required forms are due by 5 p.m., Oct. 2.
