If you Give a Child a Book campaign kicks off the power of reading

Here at 23ABC we read for a living. It's something we love to do, but many children in our community struggle to read at their grade level, and that's something we want to change.

Our parent company has partnered with the Scripps Howard Foundation the last two years for the "If You Give a Child a Book" campaign. And we are inviting you to get involved too.

Send us photos of your kids reading and tell us a story about what reading means to you and your family. One of our directors sent us these pictures of his son Jackson reading and said "reading is very important to me and my family. For me, watching closed captioning growing up with deaf parents -- led me to read at a very advanced level for a very long time. It has given me a life-long advantage. Reading is power and my son Jackson is powerful."

You can send pictures and stories to our email - news@kero.com. If you'd like to learn more about the campaign visit "If You Give a Child a Book."
