BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Ahead of Valentine's Day, show some love by donating as a couple to Houchin Community Blood Bank. In return, Houchin will take care of date night!
HCBB is hosting a three-day Sweetheart Date Night event where donors who come donate in pairs can choose a date off their Date Night Trees. The dates range from dinner, a movie, an activity and even concert tickets. One luck pair has the chance to win a grand prize date to see Blake Shelton in concert.
The Sweetheart Tree’s will be on display at both donor centers. Donors who give in pairs must both complete a successful blood donation for a chance to pick one of more than 150 dates on the trees.
Other dates include: Jamba Juice, Temblor, Blvd, Flight N Fit, Rollerama, Creamistry, Firehouse, Kern Raceway and more.
The event runs from Thursday to Saturday.
Blood donors must be in good health, weigh 110 pounds, and be 17 years of age or older. 16 year olds can donate with parental consent. A photo ID with date of birth is all that is needed to start saving lives, at either Bakersfield donor center.
