BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This holiday season you can help save a life while also scoring some Black Friday deals.
Houchin Community Blood Bank has teamed up with local businesses to offer some prizes for donors.
Starting Monday, November 25, donors can make an appointment with either donation center and receive a Black Friday Mystery box. Inside the little black boxes will some type of gift card, coupon or discount to one of several different local businesses. One lucky donor will win a $500 Target gift card, sponsored by The Wonderful Company.
Everyone who donates blood will get a black box with a prize inside.
The event runs from Monday to Friday, Nov. 28, except for Thanksgiving Day.
