BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Golden Empire Transit announced they will officially be featured in the 37th Annual Christmas Parade.
"We at GET represent our company in the community and are ambassadors of our brand in Bakersfield. We strive to create an open, fun work environment by organizing great events like this one, where people are inspired to be creative with art," wrote GET in a press release.
GET will be joining 109 other participants making their way through Bakersfield for the parade.
“We’re trying to introduce more people to transit, and that’s a fun way to do it,” said Karen King, CEO of GET, in the release.

The bus will sport a theme of "The Polar Express" and will be carrying children and employees of GET, who also painted the bus.
"It brings the kids to where their parents are working and also gets them introduced to the bus system," said Janet Sanders, GET Marketing Manager.
