BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Cal State Bakersfield is gearing up for their 2020 celebrations of Black History Month.
February is Black History month and every year CSUB hosts a number of events to celebrate. This year, the university will kick things off with Gospel Fest 2020.
Gospel Fest will start Feb. 6 at the Icardo Center from 5 to 8 p.m.
Then on Feb. 7, CSUB will host the 5th Annual Unity Breakfast. That's happening from 7 to 8 a.m. in the Stockdale Room.
On Feb. 12, CSUB will host former Bakersfield Police Cheif Lyle Martin to discuss 'Ethics in Leadership'. That will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Dezember Reading Room in the Walter Stiern Library.
