CAPK Head Start early childhood education centers to close due to COVID-19 concerns

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — CAPK Head Start will be following the direction of the Director of the Office of Head Start in the Administration for Children & Families, the State of California, the Kern County Public Health Department and the Kern County Superintendent of Schools and closing the Head Start and Early Head Start Centers effective at the end of the day on March 17.

Head Start Center closures will last until April 14. Extended closure of Head Start Centers beyond that date will be assessed as needed.
