BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) Food Bank has received a donation of over $67,000 from Ferrovial, the parent company of California Rail Builders.

"We have seen the needs in our region increase exponentially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic,'' Jeremy Tobias, CEO of Community Action Partnership said. "We are thankful for the support of Ferrovial which will help us address food insecurity across our community by providing meals to those in need during this time of crisis."

This donation will provide thousands of meals for Kern County residents.

In 2019 the CAPK Food Bank distributed more than 20 million pounds of food to hungry individuals and families through its network of nearly 150 partner non-profits, churches, community centers and homeless shelters.
