BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Junior High students throughout the city will show off their performance skills Tuesday at the annual Bakersfield City School District's Oral Language Festival.
The festival offers students the chance to showcase a spoken word performance in front of a panel of judges.
Students can perform interpretations that are either serious or humorous, as either solo, duo or as verse choirs of three to six students.
The top students in each section will go on the compete in the regional oral language competition.
The performances will be held at the BCSD Education Center Board Room on 1300 Bakers Street. They will run from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.
