Bakersfield Police Department hosting low-cost vaccine clinic Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is hosting a low-cost vaccine clinic Saturday for dog-owners living within city limits.

The clinic is scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon at Beale Park in Central Bakersfield.

BPD will be offering vaccines at a reduces cost, however all licensing fees are regular price. Microchips are free to all city-licensed dogs.

Vaccines offered include:

  • Rabies vaccines for puppies as young as 3 months of age as well as adult dogs. A dog license must be purchased in conjunction with the rabies vaccine.
  • DHPP vaccines for puppies needing to begin their vaccination series or adult dogs needing booster shots.
  • Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine for dogs frequenting dog parks and required for admittance into boarding and grooming facilities.
