Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is partnering with the Puente House is hosting its Run-4-Recovery event Wednesday afternoon.
Bakersfield Behavioral along with other local sober living homes will line White Lane in front of the hospital to welcome a team of cyclists who have been riding for hundreds of miles to raise money for the Puente House Foundation. The team started its journey in Portland, Oregon, and will end in Covina totaling 1,100 miles.
Raising these funds will open up opportunities to receive scholarships and other services to those recovering men and women most vulnerable to relapse.
The team of cyclists will make a stop in Bakersfield Wednesday at 3 p.m. at 5201 White Lane.
