BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Wednesday Adventist Health Bakersfield will be handing out soup packets full of high-protein ingredients for families in Kern County, as well as recipes the packets can be used in.
According to Adventist Health, "a family in need can turn the soup into something that goes along with their preference or they can experiment with another recipe."
Adventist Health's goal is to help people "right here in our own backyard."
The giveaway starts at 10 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oildale.
