BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Future Bakersfield Police officers got the chance to learn about working with the media from our very own 23ABC's Jessica Harrington.
Jessica visited the BPD training academy Monday to share with cadets how they can connect with the community and work with media to get important information out to the public. She also spoke to cadets about the continually evolving relationship between police and media.
Jess was just among one of many community members who spoke to the cadets. On cadet telling 23ABC News she gained a lot of knowledge from the day's presentation.
"It's really great to hear different perspectives from community members on how law enforcement in general and we can build better relationships in the community," said cadet Amber Isabell.
