The CSU Bakersfield men's basketball team won 80-76 on the road against UT-Arlington in the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).

The Runners, seeded as the #8 seed, had already knocked off #1 Cal and #4 Colorado State before besting #6 UTA.

CSUB moves on to the NIT's Final Four, held in Madison Square Garden in New York City. They'll play #6 Georgia Tech March 28, time to be determined.

Wednesday was a bit of a homecoming for Damiyne Durham. The redshirt sophomore hails from Oakwood, Texas, about a 2 hour drive from the College Park Center. Durham hit three 5 pointers, finishing with 18 points and picking up 7 rebounds.

Shon Briggs led the Runners in scoring with 19 points.

CSUB is the first #8 seed to ever make it to the NIT's Final Four.
