Today, the United Farm Workers President Arturo Rodriguez and the Civic Empowerment Coalition will be walking in Shafter and Delano to encourage voters to cast ballots on election day.

They'll kick off a four day door-to-door campaign that will from today through the closing of the polls on election day Tuesday.

The event meeting starts at 9:30 am at the UFW Foundation Office in Bakersfield. 

After the meeting, Rodriguez and volunteers will travel to Shafter where they will begin walking at 1:00 pm. 

Later, they'll travel to Forty Acres in Delano and there will begin walking from there.
