Three grape farm workers dead, possibly from heat-related illnesses according to United Farm Workers

According the United Farm Workers, three women have died this week, possibly due to the heat. All of the women were grape farm workers.

The UFW stated that a woman died at a vineyard in Arvin. She began feeling bad and sat down to rest in the shade, where she died.

Another woman died at a vineyard near McFarland, according to the UFW. This woman felt sick and went to the bathroom to vomit. When she exited the bathroom, she fainted. An ambulance was called but took over an hour to arrive and she died.

UFW also shared a woman died at a farm in Delano.

One death occurred on Tuesday and two on Wednesday, but the UFW is unsure which is which.
