The suspect in Sunday’s machete incident passed away Wednesday after being taken to the hospital in critical condition.

63-year-old Jose Cesar Viloria was taken into custody Sunday night after threatening to kill a victim with a machete and resisting directions from police.

Police noticed he was not breathing when they took him into custody and took him to the hospital.

The family of Viloria is looking for answers in the force used against him. The two officers involved, Zachary Burdick and Timothy McIrvin, were placed on administrative leave.
