Six Flags Magic Mountain is closed Monday due to a water pipe repair, according to its website.

Sue Carpenter, spokeswoman for Six Flags, said a scheduled water pipe repair took longer than expected.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's understanding in the matter," said Carpenter.

Rio Bravo Greely School had a group of band students who were on their way to the theme park and were turned around near Gorman when they realized the park was closed.

School officials said they do not know if the trip will be rescheduled.

The graduating 8th graders from Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Wasco were also headed to Magic Mountain when they heard it was closed. The 220 students made it to Bakersfield before heading back to the school. The principal, Steven Davis, said they will go to the theme park tomorrow.

Carpenter said the theme park is scheduled to reopen at normal time, 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday.
