Police file search warrant on home of man accused of stealing dozens of items from multiple vehicles

Bakersfield police have filed a search warrant on the residence owned by a man who burglarized multiple vehicles across Bakersfield January 9 through February 21.

Javier Jimenez was arrested on March 1 with over a dozen charges of 2nd degree burglary, grand theft, and multiple charges of fraud.

Jimenez pled no contest to multiple counts of burglary and unauthorized use of identifying information of another. Other charges were dropped.

Detectives with the police department noticed a 2006 GMC Sierra black extended cab pickup truck involved in multiple car burglaries. The suspect was a 27-year-old Hispanic male, 5' 11" and 200 pounds.

Through surveillance and other information police found the suspect was Jimenez.

Police are asking for a search warrant to locate items belonging to the owners of the burglarized vehicles.

  • Gift cards

  • Two Power Point remote controls
  • HP laptop
  • Air compressor
  • Breast pump
  • SSI and Medical Card
  • Burberry perfume

He will be in court for a sentencing April 13.
