The Oxnard PD Motorcycle unit came out to support and ride with the 999 Foundation during their 11th Annual Officer Down Ride event that is happening October 7th in Bakersfield.
The 999 offered to help when the Oxnard motorcycle officer, James Langford, went down.
The event is held annually to honor law enforcement, fallen heroes and their survivors and is hosted by the 999 Foundation.

Oxnard Police officer 35-year-old James Langford was injured in a crash on September 27th.
Langford was riding a 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle and was taken to Kern Medical for his injuries.
He is still in critical condition.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, officer James Langford was riding a motorcycle on a training ride on Highway 58 west of Highway 33 when he crashed. No other vehicles were involved. Langford was taken to a local hospital.
Langford has been with the Oxnard Police Department for 12 years.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
A GoFundMe account has been set up for Oxnard Police Officer James Langford.
Ventura County Law Enforcement Wives set up the account to help raise $15,000. So far, nearly $7,500 has been raised in 18 hours.
