A 260-acre project with residential, retail, office, recreational, and industrial space is set start being constructed in 2018.
The Bakersfield Commons will be in the heart of Bakersfield and will be a pedestrian-oriented community space. The Commons are expected to include office spaces, residential living spaces, as well as a theater, restaurants and more.
World Oil Corporation appointed Trammell Crow Company to develop the space.
The project is a result of years of planning and long-term supervision by World Oil Company, who owns the property where the Bakersfield Commons will be built on the corner of Coffee Rd. and Brimhall Rd.
The Bakersfield Commons will also embrace retention for storm water management and the entire area will be connected by walking paths that will have drought tolerant plants.
