Local woman recovering from bear attack this morning

Bear broke into woman's home through doggy door
Posted

PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, Calif. – This morning, a local woman is recovering from a bear attack that happened yesterday in Pine Mountain Club.

The woman’s friend, Chris Powell, says the bear broke into the woman’s home through a doggy door. He says the loud noise startled her and she tried to scare the bear away.

“Had a pan, a pot. You know, when the bear came in she had heard the noise outside her house and pulled out a pan and was making noise trying to scare the bear out,” Powell explained.

However, the bear went for the pot and ended up scratching the woman’s arm. She was taken to the hospital by her neighbors. She received over a dozen stitches across her arm.
