Kern County health officials confirm seven cases of West Nile virus

The Kern County Department of Public Health confirmed seven cases of West Nile in people across Kern County Friday.

In 2016, there have been a total of 155 cases of West Nile found in humans in 23 counties including Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, and Yuba Counties.

The virus has caused two deaths so far.
