Kern County Fire's chief confirmed Tuesday morning that 257 homes have been destroyed in the Erskine Fire.
Chief Brian Marshall gave a presentation at the Kern County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday morning.

He also said crews are now focusing their efforts on the Erskine Creek Basin. He says crews are focusing on that area to try to keep the fire from spreading to the Bodfish and Lake Isabella communities.
